Everyone can benefit from a drinking water filter system. Most everyone's water has chlorine in it, because that is what most water treatment facilities put in the water to kill the bacteria and germs in the water. Chlorinated byproducts, called trihalomethanes (THMs) set off the production of free radicals in the body. These free radicals cause cell damage, which contributes to cancer and hardening of the arteries.
